Changing Times

Hello again. Thomas here. I have had a time. Long story short: a few family issues, my dad got really sick, and all while I moved states for a job. I am back now, though I find I have less time to spend on the things I care about. (All apart of growing up?)

Now that the holidays are over I hope things cool down a little. I hope to continue to stream content through my blogs on a more frequent schedule. I hope you enjoyed the short video. (A taste for bigger and greater things to come?)

Plants and Pixels

What happened? I was gone for a vacation and now there are plants are on my blog! It's okay, though. I think they are growing on me.

Hello, there! After an extended break I have returned to show off the wonders I have created. Witness for yourselves the beauty and awe of the plants that inhabit the land of Skyrim. There are many different plants in Skyrim and learning how to recreate them with vector art has been a joy.

I started this project because I was interested to look a little bit closer at the art of nature. I love Skyrim, so I decided to examine its plants. I wanted these plants to be simple but have enough detail to be recognizable to fans of the game. I am satisfied with the progress I made and I think that I might continue working on Skyrim's plants in the future.

I apologize for not having a consistent schedule for my blog posts. I am currently creating a business and that has taken up all of my time. I will try very hard to keep posting. I am going retro next post.

Summer Time

Hello, everyone! Summer is here. The birds are singing, rain is pouring, and has my blog become boring? It has been some time since my last post in April and I will apologize for my tardiness. It was a busy time for me. I graduated, cleaned my dorm room of everything, and I am still unpacking things from college. However, I am here now and I can let you know what is happening this summer.

My Senior Show

This is my senior show. For an art major I needed to put together the best examples of art that I accomplished during my stay at Saint Mary's University. I start with a group photo of all the senior artists and then show each of the artworks I had up during the show.

Contemplating Animating

As I continue to experiment with and explore the art of comics, my mind keeps returning to animation. Animation has always compelled me and I have wanted to improve my skills in this area. So this week I'll go over my thoughts on animation and what I see in store for my future with this style of art.

The Comic Sensation

Hello. This week I am going over the newest comic strip for Hugh Manatee. I am going to be introducing the third comic strip and talking about the changes I made in the color comic compared to the black and white comic.

Behind the Scenes

I am back again with more on the art projects I have been working on. Last time I talked about the claymation I started work on. Today I am going to go into more detail with the tools I use to make a claymation.

First you need clay. Second you need more white clay.
